Step 1 · first week
Sit down with Zach and run through finance, deposit options (from $3k* with Keystart), the First Home Owner Grant, and what you can realistically afford. No pressure.
Zach checks B1's 300+ available blocks across North, South, East and South West Perth, including titled lots in Henley Brook, Alkimos, Yanchep, Piara Waters, Baldivis, Eglinton and more. Speed depends on the area you're after and what's available.
Pick a design from 32+ B1 home plans (or tweak the layout), lock in your inclusions and get a transparent fixed-price quote. Typically submitted by the end of the month your land is sourced — land, build and inclusions all on one page.
Sign the HIA building contract once your design and quote are locked in. From here B1 lodges for council approval and the building permit.
Lock in colours, finishes and electrical at your Prestart Meeting with the design team. We push to complete prestart 1-3 months out from slab down — the exact timing flexes with your land title date.
Once your land has titled and settled, the building permit is issued, and the slab is typically poured within weeks. A recent example: the Sanggalan Family signed in November and had their slab laid 25 February.
Brickwork, roof cover, lock-up, fit-out and PCI follow in sequence with regular site updates. Slab down to keys is currently sitting at 10-12 months. B1 is rolling out a new build process over the next year or two that's expected to shorten that by 2-3 months.
